Alarm ProceduresOnce your system is operative and connected via telephone line to our central monitoring station, the tripping of a detection component will prompt the control panel to transmit an alarm that will also serve to identify the component that was tripped. If your system has tripped while you are on premises, stay calm and disarm it by entering your user code into the keypad. As soon as your phone line is free, telephone the central monitoring station and always identify yourself using the P.I.N. given you by the installing technician. Note: When a system trips and transmits an alarm it will take from twenty seconds to a minute for the telephone line become free again therefore you should remain on premises because a central monitoring station operator will be trying to contact you. Many operating procedure are in force in our central monitoring station however the most commonly established is calling the premises first before proceeding with any other action. Should there be no answer or should the person answering not have the P.I.N. the police will usually be dispatched immediately. The central monitoring station operator will then proceed to contact one of the subscribers listed on file for your account. Your subscriber list should be composed of those people that have authority to be on premises, those that possess a user code and that have a P.I.N. to identify themselves to the central monitoring station operator. It is important to regularly update your subscriber-calling list to always ensure a prompt and effective alarm response. Please contact us for more information |
